Privacy

The short version: this site keeps almost nothing about you, and what it does keep, you gave it on purpose.

What this site collects

No accounts, no tracking cookies, no advertising. The site is served by Cloudflare, which processes visitors' IP addresses to deliver pages and defend against abuse, as any host does; Cloudflare's own privacy policy covers that. We don't run analytics that identify you.

The map

The base map and the star ratings come from Google Maps Platform. When the map loads, your browser talks directly to Google, which may set cookies on its own domains and sees your IP address. That's governed by Google's privacy policy, not ours. The venue list on the left works without the map if you'd rather block it.

"Near me"

If you press "Near me", your browser asks your permission and then gives the page your approximate location so it can sort venues by distance. The location stays in your browser — it is never sent to us or stored anywhere.

Suggestions you send

The suggestion form sends what you type, plus the country your connection appears to come from, to our inbox by email (via Resend, an email delivery service). It isn't stored in any database. If you give an email address it's used only to reply about that suggestion. A spam check by Cloudflare Turnstile runs on the form; it may set a cookie of its own for that purpose.

Your rights

Under UK and EU data protection law you can ask what we hold about you and ask for it to be deleted. In practice that means the emails from the suggestion form. Use the form to get in touch.
